CIOB
CIOBConstruction Manager Target: 33,000 UK and Ireland members of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)In 2009, the CIOB chose Atom as its new publishing partner, with a brief to develop the profile of the Institute as a professional body, to develop communications that match its growing global reputation and to maximise the commercial potential of Construction Manager and associated communication channels.Atom proposed and implemented an integrated communications strategy across all channels, including the relaunch of Construction Manager (CM).The redesigned magazine incorporates the CIOB’s member newsletter (Contact) to create a more substantial, perfect-bound publication that delivers greater impact from similar resources. At the same time, Atom revamped and relaunched the CM website at www.construction-manager.co.uk and will be launching a recruitment website in 2010.Developing and delivering a rejuvenated advertising sales strategy has underpinned the relaunch of CM – exploiting our substantial contacts within the property sector and the opportunities for cross-selling presented by the integrated communications channels.Atom has agreed an innovative commercial partnership with the CIOB to underpin the development of a long-term relationship and establish a shared commercial ambition for both parties.

Integrated campaigns
Integrated campaignsNo communication exists in isolation, particularly if a brand is to maintain its key messages whenever it comes into contact with a member or customer. Atom is responsible for creating and managing multi channel communications that conform to an integrated plan. Our role is to assess the effectiveness of each channel with regard to a target audience, measure and track response, feedback information to our cients, and develop new channels as technology allows. For example, e-newsletters may appear to have been outpaced by social media or the develoment of iPads but they remain an extremely trackable and reliable communications channel: thte open and click through rates are useful for tracking the popularity of content, the type of reader or geographic usage differences. Atom integrates campaigns across magazines, web, e-newsletters, digital publications, social media and soon iPad.
